This is Maya at 11 weeks.  Should I expect an improper coat or is there still a chance of furnishings and doodling out?  Coat predictions?

Maya is adorable, but I don;t think she's going to "doodle out." She has an open face, which means she lacks furnishings, and while her coat is fluffy, it's short and straight.

Thanks.  After looking at other discussions for weeks now, I'm expecting a her to have a flat coat.  She does look a lot like Gigi.  Thanks for responding with your thoughts.

I don;t know if you've seen this other recent discussion, but this puppy Gigi is also an F2B and looks very much like Maya:

My guess is that she will look more like a small golden retriever  than what most people think a doodle should look like.  However, there really is a unique look that some of these flat coated doodles have - and those of us that know, would spot er as a doodle right away.  The ear set is one way - it is so adorable and perky.

The great news about the flat-coated doodles is less maintenance :)

Luna hardly ever needed brushing  (mostly just seasonal de-shedding) and only minor trimming which I did myself.  She was an F1 mini goldendoodle and had a beautiful, impossibly soft flat coat.   She looked just like a slightly curly Golden but was about half the size (38 lbs).

Riley is our first "doodly" doodle, has a double coat and the maintenance is so crazy!  I haven't even worked up the courage to trim her yet but I'm running out of excuses since I have all the supplies for a scissor cut now lol.

Yep, my guess is that Maya will be a flat coated pup.  Our Maggie is a flat coated F2 (there are a few pics on my page).  I of course was looking forward to a pup that didn't shed a lot and had the "doodle look", but now I am thrilled she is what she is!  First, she's super soft and silky and I can groom her myself.  Second, she LOVES to swim and she can do that without her coat turning into a mess.  She can also play in the snow and doesn't turn into a snowball herself, and Third...I've come to absolutely LOVE her look!  She is the sweetest and has perky ears (as someone mentioned below).  The downside, is she does shed quite a bit so you need to brush her regularly, but honestly...I think she's perfect. :)  Enjoy little Maya!

This is Maya at almost 5 months.  Just in case someone uses this post as reference.  She does, in fact, have an open face as predicted.

So cute! Legs for days!

She is very pretty. Her face is gorgeous - just look at those eyes!

Can anyone tell me if they think ours will be improper coat also?

Holly, I do think yours will also have the "IC" or open face.  Love his/her face, it's adorable. :)
