Wondering and hoping that Rigby keeps his Mohawk!

Anyone have a pup with a Mohawk?  It is one of the best features of Rigby.  He certainly gets a lot of attention over it!  Just wondering what everyone thinks, if he will keep it or it will shed and not come back... I think it's the only poodle that shows in him. I really hope it stays.  :)

LOLOL............I hope he doesn't lose that!!!......Mattie had one too as a pup......but her coat didn't change much..it got more and more golden....now she only shows her poodle when she gets wet......her ears curl up, her paws, and tail.........

He is soooo cute;-)..............I think its a nice do.......

Thanks.  He actually didn't have it when we got him, he's grown it longer as he's getting older.  One kid said to me, "That Mohawk is bad ass!"  LOL  Many people think it's his hair cut.  We have to explain that is is all natural and what type of dog he is.  :)

Although not as thick as Rigby's, Sophie did have one when she was a puppy.  Our trainer called her Fraglerock!  You will see that Sophie did not keep hers.  However she had more facial beard even as a puppy than Rigby does so it is possible Rigby will keep his.  It is adorable!  Love his color

Thanks Lucy, is that a picture of Sophie when she is older???  If so that is an amazing transformation!!!  She's beautiful!!!  That's the look I was going for, but we love his looks now and his red color.  Pictures really don't do his coat justice.  He has a "Mohawk" down his back also which makes it look like his hackles are raised. It's amazing the transformation that they go through.  I will be shocked if Rigby ends up like this!!! LOL  I am curious how he will look in 6 months to a year.  He's 6 months old this weekend.

Yes, the bottom photo is Sophie probably somewhere around a year old or just before.  We had our doubts for a while that she would "doodle out" but once she got started she just kept on going.  The strip down the back is normally the first place you start to see change.  She started with a row of waves down her back.  It will be interesting to see what happens to Rigby.  That is part of the fun of having a doodle!

Luna had the row of waves down her back too... but she just kinda has some random, wavy short hair now :p

Luna's hair pattern stayed pretty much the same as when she was a puppy, it just got longer in some places (back, tail, belly and "feathers" on her legs).  

I hope he keeps his little fohawk!  It's so cute!

OMD - too cute!  We had a Springer Spaniel who's 'top knot' grew  in curls.  Rigby brings back fond memories.

Brady got his mohawk around 3.5 months and its still there at 6 months! We love it and he gets so much attention from it!  We hope it stays and think when he finally needs a haircut we'll ask the groomer to try and preserve it!
