Cyst on eye

Our puppy has a cyst on his eye with hair growing out of it.  He is getting it removed on Monday and also being neutered at the same time.  Has anyone else had this problem?  Thanks, Vicki

Ruby just had a small white bump on her lower eyelid removed during her first teeth cleaning-- she'll turn 4 next week. I don't think it was a cyst--more like a skin tag. It looked like a bit of sleep (no hair growing out) but her groomer said the vet needed to burn it off. She said they are more common in Poodle-type dogs. It's wise to do it while your puppy will be under sedation for his spay. The area was white at first but after two weeks, the black pigment came back and she looks fine. Good luck! One thought-- I'd see if Whispering Kennel will cover that portion of vet bill, as your puppy is still under health guarantee.
