About Me:: I am one of the elders in the DK communtity. I live in So Ca area and have been married going on 50 years. We have two grown children and two Siberian Husky granddogs. I have been a chemist, a science teacher, a fulltime mom, a soccer coach, a girl scout leader, and spent 20 years on our local school board. I have always had a dog or two or three.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: I had two Australian Labradoodles. They are full brothers, but not littermates. Roo died in Dec 17 of congestive heart failure. Tigger now had a new companion a 3 month old female ALD named Murphy. Before the ALD darlings we have always had Siberian Huskies with one Golden Retreiver tucked in there. We have loved all our dogs and the doodles
Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: My husband has dog allergies which limits our choices. he did not do well with the one Golden we had. We have always had Siberian Huskies which are generally non allergenic. However, 12 years ago I REALLY permanently injured my back. That combined with forty years of vacuuming everyday sent me looking for a different breed. I researched doodles for two years and choose to spend the next dog generation of my life with Australian labradoodles. They combined allergy friendly with non shedding plus high intelligence and love to be loved. Grooming them once every six weeks beats vacumming every day, especially since DH usually helps with the grooming.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Swimming in our pool, playing fetch, training them to be good doggy citizens. Walking, visiting dog parks, and just doodling around.
Does your doodle(s) shed?: Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?: Nikki, the groomer at our vet, she was a professional dog show groomer and handler.
Favorite Doodle Products?: Zogoflex toys and many squeaker flatties - no stuffing.

I'll send the meds on Monday. These drugs are terrific - they gave Ellie and me almost a year of additional time, even though she was 11 and had other cardiac issues besides the congestive heart failure. She had some congenital heart defects, and had had a pacemaker implanted about 6 years earlier. Nevertheless she was a most warm-hearted and caring dog, and she would be glad her meds will be used to help your Roo.

I was writing out the address for your package when I realized I don't know your last name. I thought about sending it to "Maryann, Roo and Tigger" but the postal guy said it might not arrive. He also muttered something uncomplimentary about crazy old ladies under his breath but I chose not to hear it. Anyway, I'll be back at the post office tomorrow sending more gifts (it's late, I know - I'm calling them New Years presents), so I'll mail the stuff for Roo then if you see this message in time.

Presenting it was perfect! We had a picnic lunch after the first romp and I was able to present it then with many other doodle owners present.
