About Me:
I'm a retired biology teacher with three grown kids and a hubby who retired from teaching several years ago. I have always had dogs, but Mattie was my first doodle. She's great! She is a certified therapy dog and we are enjoying her company every day. I added Lyric a year later and she also passed her therapy dog test but she is totally different from Mattie and lots of fun. She has had a bunch of wonderful pups for the breeder I got her from (she is in a guardian home with me which means we have a contract for Lyric to have some pups). Mattie is 6 and Lyric is 5. I kept one of Lyric's puppies, Rio, a black and white partidood who was 2 in January of 2013--so I have three LDs now-and that will have to be it! My husband will not be happy if I add any more!
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
My FIRST doodle is a medium labradoodle--her dad was an apricot mini-poodle and her mother was a red lab. She weighs 35 pounds, has deep red wavy hair with deep brown eyes and a rose nose and does not shed much at all. I got her from Tango Wool labradoodles--I have met many of the doodles from Tango Wool's litters and they are all great! I also have an apricot australian labradoodle named Lyric--much bigger than Mattie, but that's OK since Mattie loves to play with bigger dogs. Lyric's puppy, Rio, born 1/1/11 is a black and white parti and adorable! We just couldn't give him up--so now we are a three doodle family!
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
I wanted a non-shedder with a lab disposition--now I know that many doodles do shed--i have a non-shedder, a low shedder and a medium shedder!
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Walks in the woods and kayaking with the doodles --- I also like to just hang out with the doodles on the couch at the end of a long day...they are happy to just play together as long as I am nearby--three velcro dogs!
Does your doodle(s) shed?
A little bit but nothing major
Who grooms your doodle(s)?

Les pooches brush, "The stuff"

This is a bit different, Ginny, because it is mailed cards, not e-mail cards.  I like the e-mail cards because it is a lot cheaper.  You make one card and then send it e-mail to everyone on the list.  Then you can print out the ones you want to have permanently.  I did it for several years, but not last year because we were in the middle of a move.  I will try again this year.

Yep, my husband would say I was crazy for putting up doodle cards all over the place.  Besides, it is expensive.  I even do e-mail Christmas cards to people that I have their e-mail address.  That is most people that I know.  I print out a few of my cards to mail to any others.  Works for me.

Sullivan's first Christmas.  That will be special for sure.
