About Me:
I am a 52 year old homemaker. My girls are now 24 and 25 and my oldest tells me all the time I am a stay at home mom and then likes to add "wait a minute...your kids are full grown... you are just a stay at home." No wonder, I got a doodle. I used to work at an Assisted Living Retirement Facility in MD as an Assistant Activity Director. When we moved to PA, I stopped working there, but have continued to volunteer there one night a week. I do game night and it is a very interesting group. I bake them home made cookies and am smart enough to make them play the game before I serve the cookies.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
We have a Female Chocolate Labradoodle named Fudge. She was one year old on Christmas. We brought her home on Friday the 13th (3/13/09). After I saw Beyonce in concert, I announced Fudge's middle name was now Beyonce and my family wanted to get me committed :)

On 3/27/10 (born 1/10/10), we added Vernors (Vern) to our family. He is a cream colored Labradoodle. His official title is Vernors Macaroni.

We name all of our dogs some kind of food name and Vernors is after a Midwest Ginger Ale. (close enough)
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
We have had Labs in the past and loved their temperament. This time around we wanted to start with a puppy and one that does not shed. It has been wonderful.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
I love taking them to the dog park and out on the rail trail for walks. We also go to the tennis courts and play ball until they are tired. Both dogs ride along with me in the car while I do my errands.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
A little bit but nothing major, Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
Cathy's Canine Designs.
Favorite Doodle Products?
Bully sticks, Ty Bow Wow beanies, the stuffed animals with the beating heart inside (can not think of the name), jolly balls, and tennis balls.
Relationship Status:
Married

Haw!  So no more material for blogging.  Why do I doubt that?  Just because the dogs are older?  Feel lucky because my dogs just don't seem to last that long.  We lost Hondo at seven years, Groucho Too at eight years, and Copper (foster dog) at nine years.  So, Harpo will be eight this year and I worry about him.  He is acting a little older, but still very active.  Must be time for a new dog for you!

I just was reading your post about Grandparents - so easy to manipulate.  I so much want to be a manipulated grandparent that I am going to be a "foster grandparent" to a little boy with a single mom in Klamath Falls.  I am also going to be a CASA (court-appointed special advocate) for a kid in foster care here in Grants Pass.   Besides kids and dogs, I still get in some gardening, swimming, and ceramics.  I manage to keep busy in our new home in Oregon and don't miss California at all.

You've come a long way, LAURIE, and I love these painting of Vern and Fudge.  I haven't been here for a long time.  What program are you using?  I am busy in Oregon with my three dogs and other activities.  Currently in Texas for my nephew's 50 yr. birthday celebration and waiting for my brother and mother to arrive.  My greetings to all of you

    for a wonderful 2019.
