Hi Diane,  I enjoyed your photos and comments.  When did you know that Dakota shed?  My boy is 8 months, and he is currently losing his puppy coat which I have to actively strip out to try and prevent matting.  Since this is my first labradoodle, even though I have done tons of research, I still don't feel like I really know what to expect!  He is the only one I know!  We love him so much, and try to stay ahead of his antics.  We live in El Dorado Hills, and I was wondering where you take Dakota swimming?  Max loves to swim!  If there are any fun activities in the area you are aware of, I would love to hear about them.  Playing with other dogs is a close 2nd to swimming!  Thanks for any tips you can pass along.  Susan

That he is! His "winter weight" is 80-85 pounds; we try to keep him at 80 which is a pretty good weight for him. He is soooo active during the summer, he will drop down to 69 or 70 pounds.
