That's a very used soccer ball.  No longer pink but still a favorite in the yard.

I do not think I am going to cord the tail this year.  Only because, when I shave him down in the Spring, I will have to shave the tail again.  Plus, I like his tail. It is softer and easy to work with.  But, give it a try and see what you think.

I just cut the belly with a scissors as needed.  Cords on the belly looked uncomfortable and really serve no purpuse.  Remember, we have feet(s) of snow here too with the dogs constantly getting wet.

I've been studying this and trying to figure out what I want to do.  I like the tail.  Do you shave the belly or let it cord also?  And...what is that ball?  I have made some with hexagons and pentagons (out of paper) but sure would not give them to the dogs to play with.  This one looks more like fabric and beading.
