I don't want to set off any alarms here, but I seem to recall reading that "bunny hopping" can be a sign of hip dysplasia.  Do a google search on "is bunny hopping a sign of hip dysplasia"!  You might want to ask the Vet next time you are there to just check the hips to be sure they are ok!
