Thanks F, yes it is great news, can't tell you how bad I was feeling to have to return the borrowed camera this weekend.  I'm hoping to see Linda (with Toby) this weekend and I can pick her brain about the Cannon :)

No, this one is from this past Summer, and the snow pics are taken with a friends camera yesterday.....  But, today another friend offered to sell me her Cannon Rebel and lenses for a great price.  So although it is not the Nikon I wanted, it will work until I can save up for what I want :)  She barely used the camera and it can always later be used as a second, or for my DH to use.  My new year is starting out better than I expected!  She drops it off tomorrow :)
