lol, the kids know the drill--that we'll be driving for a while, so take off your shoes and get comfy. Porter no longer wears such a long-suffering look. That was last summer when he was 8 mos. This summer, he rode mostly in the chair in the right foreground of the photo, though his dog bed still lies on the floor and he spends time there too. The only thing that is still goofy about him and the car is that we have to be verrrrry careful not to open the body of the van until we are truly ready to go. If it gets opened, he rushes in and plants himself in his seat. You have to drag him out and you know he thinks he is being left behind. I can't stand for him to spend the two hours before a four hour road trip, sitting in the van, while we pack it and strap on bikes...etc.

The little feet in the picture really adds to the mood.
