Lynda -- This is all behind us now.  I tagged it for Lori's slide show coming up with Cones.  This was a nice cone though.  The edges were sort of padded so it didn't hurt as much when she ran into you or wasn't as noisy if she hit a wall or something.

She'll get used to it.  We had several cones in different sizes for our dogs, and my husband has even recycled them for clipper holders on his bike when he goes out trail clearing.  Works great.  I think I would like a blue one.
