Donna~ Thanks for the suggestions. I'm not sure that I want to go the "sewing route", even though I do know how to sew, haven't done it in 30+ years. I'm thinking boots and the Velcro strips are more my speed.

I have two suggestions that might work for you, buy some matching fabric and extend the legs of the suits and use velcro or elastic to hold the legs down, the second is to use velcro straps to hold the socks in place. I have used velcro cable ties from the dollar store as extra insurance to keep Quincy's boots on and they work quite well.

I don't have the rubber bands tight, just enough to hold the material down. The snow cakes up on the PJ's but slides off the snowsuits. I'll keep posting pics of what I come up with, be it good or bad. More snow coming this weekend and Tuesday. We have been getting one storm a week since Christmas. Feb is our heavy snow month, can't wait.

If you figure it out, I'll buy two. You could probably start a business when you do. I said all this last year when we got dumped with 25 inches of snow twice in one week and here I am again unprepared :) Plus, I added another dog to our brood and that is twice the snow balls. P.S. I thought about rubber bands too and then worried that it would be too tight and I would have to explain that at the vets.LOL

I like the coats for ease of putting on, but taking off when the snow balls are all over their legs isn't always easy though. The legs and stomach and rear is not covered. With the PJ's ,it's just the feet that are exposed and the face. I put elastic bands around their ankles to keep the legs down, when the feet get full of snow, it is hard to get the PJ's off because of the rubber bands. There's always something.  Back to the drawing board. I'm thinking boots. I thought I had a pair for my lab, will have to look around and see if I can find them. By the time we get this figured out, it will be spring. Oh well, at least we'll be ready for next year! LOL

I loved the PJ's idea, but I like your coats too. I just don't know if they would keep the boots on, but the amount of snow they bring in each day is incredible and I want to find a solution.

They stayed up good in the house, but as soon as they got wet, they were falling off. My daughter suggested, Velcro to hold them up. I really think the PJ's work best and are probably most comfortable for the doods, except for the need to relieve themselves.

I just posted something about my homemade leg warmers (great minds think alike) and they ended up around their feet too. I LOVE the coats and very cute picture!!

Must be the homemade leg warmers. They're lovers, not fighters.
