Hannah - I know this sounds like boasting, but my dog does everything he is supposed to and is never naughty. (Well, he sometimes eats poo - that's his down-fall.) As regards the swimming, the first time he swam I took him into the shallows when the tide was right out and the water was warm. I waded up to my thighs and he tippy-toed beside me pretending to swim. Gradually I took him out further and further until he was swimming. Then he went in lakes which were very still; then the cooler ocean with little diddy waves...it was a process! Now he flings himself in the water - positively charges in, and will retrieve a ball from far away. We just have to keep an eye on him with regards seals, as they can attack little dogs. And my Finny is a lickle dog.

I wish my dogs would..lol great swimming Mr. Finny, do you give private lessons..lol

You go Mr. Finny. Don't ever let anyone tell you dogs without webs can't swim.
