Barbara join the Seizure Group

Many of us are knowledgable about seizure disorders.  Posts in other places are not reliable.  I moderate the group.

oh my! Chloe is so beautiful! Royal and Sweetie Pie are both gorgeous. Seamus's parents are Lady Godiva & David Beckham (haha!) and they are also around 40 lbs. He is 10 months and weighed 35 lbs yesterday! he is a handful and we love him to pieces:)

Awesome, she is coming along!  I wish I would have been on DK when Libby was a puppy.  There are so many things I would have done different, but I did not hear about DK until she was over a year and believe me, during puppyhood I could have used their advice.  I am so happy for you and Chloe`:)  Keep up the good work!

Yes, Lonnie is my name!  Barbara as for navigating on DK it just takes a little time.  I was the same way and was so confused at first, but the more you are on it the easier it gets.  We live in Fresno, Ca. and originally came from So. Ca.

Barbara, I am not much help on the pottty times at night.  Libby came to us at ten weeks and she had been crate trained by then and from the first night home she has never had to go at night time. She went in her crate at 10:00 pm and woke up at 6:00 am.  I would suggest no water after 7:00 in the evening and see if that helps.  They do get their crazy times and even the zoomies when they run "wild & crazy".  We actually would use the words from training, "leave it" and "no" and most of the time she would calm down.  At times we would have to do "time outs" in her crate and we made sure it was not a punishment, just time outs.  I know this has been discussed on DK and probably with much better answers and solutions then mine, so you might go to "forum" and check out their discussions.  I am in "awe" of the knowledge these people have on DK and so thankful for all their advice.

Hang in there, once she gets past the six month mark, it gets easier.  The fact the doodles are so darn cute, helps us get through puppyhood!

And obviously I cannot spell "sight" - I meant site in my comment below!

Hi Barbara ~ first of all, I want to welcome you to Doodle Kisses.  We have two ML labradoodles (Charlie Brown turned 2 Dec 18 and Beau is just 7 months old).  What litter did your sweet little Chloe come from?  She is a doll!

I saw your post on the Manor Lake group - you mentioned Chloe's stools not too firm. Are they mucousy?  When Beau arrived, he actually had Giardia and it took several months to get him to test negative.  Apparently ML was having some issues at that time with Giardia, but I would think the winter has helped with that. Have you had her to the vet for a checkup - they usually do a stool sample that can tell if they have any parasites.  Regarding switching foods, I took Beau off the TOTW at about 4 mos. because he did not want to eat it.  He is on Fromm chicken ala a veg and Charlie eats both Fromm chicken and Wellness Core turkey.  It seems that a lot of puppies go through digestive issues at first, I do not know if it because their systems are trying to adjust or what.  You might want to join the Food Group on this sight and also the Puppy Madness group.  There is a ton of useful info on this sight and you will meet a lot of knowledgeable people.

Puppyhood can be trying, but it is also lots of fun.  See you on DK.

Oh Barbara, Chloe` is soooooo adorable and as cute as they get!  Puppyhood is so much fun, but also a big challenge!  Libby was a chewer and it was a big obstacle for us, but with toys, training, exercise and lots of TLC, we lived through it.  Not some of our furniture, but we did.  She did not do the screeching, but from what I learned from DK and mine own experience keeping them busy, exercising and training them is a key to most everything.  I would suggest you go to the forum and open it up and then type in screeching in puppies and if they have discussed it and I am sure they have, it will come up!  So nice to have you on DK!
