About Me:: Outdoorsman- I enjoy bow hunting for white tailed deer and salt water fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. In between I play tennis and work around our little twenty acre farm where we have laying hens, 2 doves, a cat and our labradoodle, Marley. I live with my wonderful wife who has taken the basic training that I gave Marley, and continued it to the point Marley is now a certified "therapy" dog, where Susan takes her into nursing homes to brighten the day of the elderly...

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Carmel's Marley Girl or Marley is an F1b, purchased from Mountain Spring Farms, north of Birmingham, Alabama. She was almost 3 months old when we purchased her, which is what we had wanted. My chocolate lab who literally was my shadow had cancer and we had to have her put down at the young age of 10. It broke my heart. I knew I wanted another dog, but Susan didn't want the challenge of another shedding dog. My friend had a labradoodle, and told us how great they are and so we started looking for one. I knew I wanted a female and I knew I wanted the chocolate color in memory of Tootsie. We found the dog God meant for us to have. Marley is the sweetest, most laid back dog I have ever owned. She loves us and our cat, Little Bit. They play together and sometimes even sleep together. I don't know that I will ever own any other breed again!

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: I liked the look first of all, secondly I liked the fact they didn't shed much. They were a dog and not a toy-not that there is anything wrong with tiny, yepping dogs-they're just not for me and my wife. Labradoodles are very smart and trainable. They come in lots of color choices. Our experience has been wonderful.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Fall asleep in the floor, while watching TV. I watch very little TV, maybe an hour a night. I am usually pretty worn out from my daily activities and the hard, flat floor feels good to my back. Marley loves for me to throw her toy and she retreives it and I throw it again. After she tires of that she will curl up beside me and put her head on my shoulder and go to sleep. My wife likes to take her on long walks where always one or two people will ask what kind she is and remark how beautiful she is.

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: Groomer, but still cant find what we are looking for...

Favorite Doodle Products?: About to order a Les Pooches brush. Hear they are great for helping to keep mats out of the coat.

Yes, we feel the same way about how incredible these Dooodles are and the love they give to everyone and they are so family friendly. We have a large family and when we are all together you don't even know a dog is around, she fits in as "one" of us! They are the "best" and I cannot put into words how much we love her! The pictures of the parade are "priceless" and soooo cute!
