About Me:

I've been a dog lover my entire life! One of the first picture of me was sitting in a high chair at my grandmother's table with her black cocker spaniel, Cinder, sitting next to me in a chair!

We got our first dog when I was six - a mutt who was my buddy all through my growing up years. Then we had two shelties. I got my first dog, a golden retriever, Sunrise, as soon as I moved into my house. Sunrise lived to be nearly 16 years old and was a joy. She gave hugs, was gentle, and loved to near me. We had a great time.

My husband and I waited a couple of years before we purchased our goldendoodle...it was a long wait, but it was worth it!

We both work at home so our doodle gets lots of love and attention. I'm a writer to it's wonderful to have the companionship of a dog...and the nudge to leave the computer for a well deserved walk in the afternoon!

Petite Goldendoodle - Aspen - born at Timshell Farm in TX on October 23, 2006. He weighs just over 40 pounds.

His Mom was a cocker/golden mix. Father was a white poodle. My Mom always called Aspen a GoldenCockaDoodle!

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

Our last dog was a golden retriever. We didn't want another 70 lbs dog and we didn't want the shedding...but we did want the friendly, intelligent personality!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

Walking, snuggling, watching him think!! He love to watch cars. When friends visit he likes to sit on the porch with me to watch them drive away. He's been attracted to vehicles and tools with motors. Doesn't chase them, just watches them! Love to watch birds as well!
