About Me:: I live in a suburb outside of New Orleans, LA. My husband and I are empty nesters and he's retired. I still work for a large company in New Orleans. For fun I like to shop, read and teach Beau new tricks.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Beau is a Goldendoodle. He shares the household with two of his best friends -- Sassy and Tigra, both very patient cats.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: We were actually looking for a golden retriever after ours passed away. We thought we could find a golden because there were a lot of abandoned dogs after hurricane Katrina, but every time we called about a dog, it was already adopted. I was searching petfinders and found Beau who was in a rescue home in Houston. I had seen a report on doodle dogs and actually investigated them, but the price for these dogs were pretty expensive. So when I saw him on petfinders, I immediately applied for him and got him. We drove 7 hrs to Houston to pick him up and about 10 hrs back (he was doing some human training on the way back). Never regretted our decision. He's a great dog.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Beau loves to ride in the golf cart to the river and watch the boats. He especially loves Seadoos. We also like to take him to Petsmart. He loves to visit with the guinea pigs, although I'm not so sure they love seeing his nose against their windows.

Favorite Doodle Products?: I don't do doodle products. I love my dog, but I'm not fanatical about specific products for him.

I just joined DoodleKisses about a week ago. I did a search to find doodles nearby. We live in Metairie. Beau looks precious. How much does he weigh? Vivie is currently 25 pounds at 7 months. We got her from Houston (actually Cypress).

I giggled at your response to "favorite doodle products" --- I'm not too doodle oriented as far as specialty products =) But the question was just meant for ANY dog products, I only have it say "doodle" because we all (or most of us) have doodles. You are welcome to list ANY dog products you really like =)
