Widow still working fulltime but am lucky to have a friend with another mini goldendoodle who comes to play and walk my dog every weekday.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
I have a female Mimi Goldendoodle who was born on Dec. 4, 2007. Her name is Daisy.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
I fell inlove with the doodle my friend has and also thought it would be great to have a nonshedding dog for a change. I have had a lab and a cocker in the past. I also have heard about how intelligent and loving doodles are.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Play, Play, Play. She is such a happy companion.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
I brush her but take her to a groomer for a bath and cute monthly
Favorite Doodle Products?
She loves soft toys with sounds but I watch her closely because she will chow off ears, tails etc.. She is a major chower so we have an abundance of nylobones. I have found that raw bones and other dental chews seem to give her the runs so have stopped giving her those types of things.
So Halas and Daisy are half-siblings. Daisy and Packer are both cuties. Christine breeds great puppies. I love that picture where Daisy is sitting by your pillow. She's giving you the look that Halas gives me a lot. It seems expressionless, and yet you can read a million things into it.
I have to brush Halas a little bit every day or so to keep the mats away. I usually just check for tangles or mats when I pet him. If I find any, I try to comb them out right then. And then I try to brush him completely about once a week. Earlier this summer, I was on vacation, and he went un-brushed for a week, and he was really matted when I got back. They ended up having to shave some of the mats off, but the rest of his long hair covered up his little bald spots. Since then, I've been able to keep up with it. He gets groomed every 5 weeks or so, but it's just bath, brush, trim feet and fanny, and trim a little bit around the eyes only if absolutely necessary. Halas looks huge, especially when he's just been brushed, but he's still only 23 lbs at 1 yr old.
I also have a puppy from The Paw Pad. Halas was born 9/1/07. His daddy was Jocque, and his mommy was Rubi. Who were Daisy's parents? Maybe Halas and Daisy are half-siblings.
Welcome to Doodle Kisses, Carol =) I'm glad you've joined us and I look forward to photos of your cute little mini! Also do check out our various groups...there are some for geographical location, type of doodle, single chicks, etc =)
