FYI: you should enter in this contest on DK to get a Les Poochs brush (I just got one for Oski last week & it's amazing. He only gets mats when his hair is 4+ inches but it's even great for brushing his face--it get's so gunky from wrestling & eating. You can read about it on my blog: http://www.doodlekisses.com/profiles/blogs/viva-les-poochs). All you have to do is response to this discussion thread by adding photo in your response :)
Poor Elvis! Hopefully he won't get sores due to his allergy :( Are you guys still using Frontline? Maybe Oski's flea medicine would work better? It also prevents heartworm--it's called Revolution.
I miss doodle romps! Oski would have loved to play with you guys. I'm trying to get some romps started here in PDX....
We haven't put a deposit down yet. When we got Oski he was $850, I doubt that's changed too drastically. The deposit's $250 which is non-refundable but you can use it toward a future litter if something comes up & you can't commit to a puppy now. I'm still working on Jason....We're also planning to buy in PDX this spring/summer.
You should check out the multiple doodles group. It sounds like adding the second puppy/dog doesn't add that much extra work because the first dood helps train the second one.
Heehee! Jason & I are in "negotiations" about getting Oski a little brother. Our breeder is planning on 2 litters this summer (she has 2 female breeding poodles, one is Oski's Mom who is black & whose mother was a parti-poodle, the other one will be having her first litter & is a cocoa & cafe-au-lait phantom poodle). I'm thinking Oski is sort of lonely....I'd love to get a rescue dood but Jason is afraid that Oski would pick up on the other dog's fear because he's incredibly empathetic.
Jason's hand is still in a splint & he's been doing hand therapy exercises. He won't be able to ride a bike/grip things for about another month and a half :(
