We are moving to the Grants Pass area in the next few months. I know that is a way from Eugene, but we may meet up sometime. I will be doing Doodle Rescue in the Southern Oregon region. Have you ever been involved with rescue?
Hi Cynthia....just getting a moment to get back with you. Our son is 27 and has Down Syndrome. He is really not a huge fan of the dogs, and I think that's mostly because he feels like they take some attention away from him.....he's big on attention. He has been much better with them recently. We had our trainer spend a few sessions just working with Tim and Murphy (our Standard Doodle "troublemaker'). That seemed to help a lot. Tim learned how to better relate to Murph and that resulted in Murphy actually starting to listen to Tim more. The dogs are clearly for me...not Tim. He just puts up with them.
