It says for canker and ear mites. Well, we have neither but even when we do get yeast it becomes infected. So, we had so many issues going on and tough and frustrating to ever clear up.
It's a powder that smells. We call our dog, Boric Boy sometimes. It is a Boric Acid mix. Something our grandmothers used way back in the day. Tried and true, it works on Poodles. Old poodle breeders also swear by the meds. We hate to recommend because often times, many will not seek out the medical help that is needed and just use the powder instead. So, when your dog is finally healthy, this certainly is worth a try. Remember, I am two years clean but for three years, we payed thousands on ears :( Worse yet, my dog was miserable.
This is not what the vet would prescribe. My vet was silly when I told him why we had not been back for infections for months. Also do not use this product when the ears are not healthy...
That said, look into a product called Thornit. It is only sold in Europe. A $40, 100ml container, has lasted me years and it's only half empty. I'll never be without it as long as I have Spud. I use maybe a 1/4 tsp at the most in and around the ears.
Some of us do use this old wives tale remedy here on DK and we swear by it. But make sure your dog is healthy first :)
