- About Me:
- From Central Coast CA - working mom - first time dog and doodle owner. Teddy is a mini golden doodle and the joy of our family! Husband mostly retired, two teen boys at home. Teddy has become kind of a kid replacement for me since boys and husband so involved in sports!
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- Teddy is our only pet - he is a mini golden doodle - first crossing - and weighs about 40 pounds. My sister has his half sister Ruby (same dad). She brought Ruby to visit last Christmas, my son was begging for one, my sister showed us her kennel site (whisperingkennel.com) and Teddy was the last of the Christmas puppies. His picture spoke to us, plus he had the same birthday as my begging son - so we made the jump and got him. We love him!

- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- My sister had one from his kennel. Have always wanted a golden - but we don't have fences where we live so liked that Teddy was a mini, non shedding and could be primarily an indoor dog.
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- Play, snuggle, he loves his kiddie pool and playing with the neighbor's non-doodle. We live out it in the country - so walking a lot.

- A little bit but nothing major

- Costco dog blankets and beds

Doodle Aggression?

Last night I witnessed some disturbing aggressive behavior from my normally super sweet Teddy 1.5 year old GD to another dog. We are traveling this weekend with Teddy (normally we live in the country - super quiet, we are currently in the heart of Los Angeles) so I know he is out of sorts and his element. We are having another doodle romp at Carmel Beach on Sunday, March 17th. I will be taking photos at the bench at the bottom of 9th St. and making photo books for anyone who is interested. Photos at 10:30 and romping at 11:00. Hope to see you there.

You won't believe this, but I have someone who is interested in the labradoodles that were your neighbor's daughter's dogs. She used to be in swimming class with me at Hartnell and now she is living in Santa Barbara. I sent her the photo of the dogs and she is coming up here on the 31st and would like to meet them. The last I heard they were living in a boarding facility locally. But can you believe it, I lost the contact information in New York. Any way you can get that? I have been looking around, but it was October when he was here and brought the dogs to my house. Too much water under the bridge since then. Can you help?
Dori is my nickname. My full name is Dorinda. I am from California and my sisters/brothers/father/cousins still live there. Mostly the Bay Area - I usually try to get out there once or so a year. Too funny, I see you go to Gilroy for grooming...I lived in Gilroy back in about 1967. Small world. I can wait to pick Rua up on Friday...be prepared for a lot of pictures.

Thanks for your comment. Which breeder did you/your sister get your Goldendoodles from? I am curious if you have both been happy with the dogs, the breeder, and your overall experience purchasing your dog?
