About Me:: I am a native of Las Vegas and a practicing pharmacist. My husband and I have been married for a year, no children yet except for our puppy.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Ours is a cream, standard F1b labradoodle. His name is Brodie and is our first dog and our first labradoodle. We got him from a wonderful breeder in Colorado, Colorado Mountain Labradoodles. He has the most colorful personality and is one of the most intelligent animals I have ever known. Although challenging at times (what child isn't?) he is a loving pet and a joy to have in our lives.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: My husband prefers labs and I really wanted an animal that was relatively allergy friendly and low or non shedding. Also, we're both outdoor people and we wanted a pet we could take hiking, hunting and fishing. My husband wasn't too excited about have an "oodle" anything (not manly enough), but after we broght Brodie home, he quickly changed his mind.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Everything, we take him everywhere it is sociably acceptable to bring a dog. We took him on his first camping and fishing trip in August and we had a blast. He scares the fish away if allowed near the water, but really there's nothing he's afraid of doing. The best part is that no matter how wet and muddy he gets, as soon as he dries off, the dirt brushes right out!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: Bone Apetit groomers near our home, but I bath him every 7-10 days and trim as necessary.

At 12:21pm on January 4, 2009, Chris Houtchens said…: Harley is about 65 lbs. I know what you mean about the puppy energy. I'm good with him but he can drag my wife if he wants to. She took him on a hike the other day and it wore her out. He's curious about everything.
He is sometimes mouthy. He has to have have his leash in his mouth. Just a bit ago he was lightly chewing my arm. I know some people don't like that. My last dog did that and it was his way of shaking hands. How did Brodie like the snow you got. Harley thinks it's the best thing ever. It snowed today and he just wants to be outside. He's not a fan of the sun though. He will find shade where ever he can. Keep in touch. I would like to see how his sibling grow up.

I was wondering what he was weighing right now. We are a guardian home for Maila. When she brought by the new dog she thought Harley was huge. He was kind of runty when we got him. Brodie is very cute. Harley loves to lay on his back like the picture you posted. It was good seeing him.
