What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: F1b goldendoodle named Sam Higgins! We got him at 7.5 weeks and his birthday is 11/03/13..

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: We had a boxer who we loved dearly and was by far the best dog ever.. He was great with kids and really was part of our family.. He passed away and I didn't want another shedding dog but wanted another great family member. I love golden retrievers and poodles and what's better than the best of both worlds? :-)

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: He's just a puppy so our fun is teaching him tricks and cuddling..

Does your doodle(s) shed?: Nope!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: No on yet..

But I guess a young biting puppy can be a lot for young children. I have heard trainers say that the puppy needs to see that the children are in control of him and not equal. I know one of the ways is to have the children hand feed him his meals. I cannot give any more info as I have never had small children and a young puppy at the same time.

We do have a Doodle playgroup in Jacksonville that meets about once a month. If you join the group you will get an email when the next meet up is set up.

Sam is a little young now but maybe next month you can join us. It usually at Dogwood Park right off 95.
