- We had the BEST English Retriever that ever lived. She passed away last year after 16 heavenly years. After much thought and to help our daughter cope with her loss, we decided that we wanted to have a dog(s) with her personality but were non-shedding to help out with allergies. Hence, the goldendoodle!!
