About Me:: My husband and I have owned, rescued, and loved golden retrievers for over 30 years. We have recently moved to South Orange to be near our two children and grandchildren. Both families are also dog owners/lovers.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Sophie is a rescued golden doodle, 2 years old and adorable. She was purchased from the breeder called Jersey Doodles. The first owners changed their mind, and took her to a shelter. That shelter took her to a second shelter, where she was recognized as a Jersey Doodle girl. The second shelter called the breeder, who got Sophie back . The breeder told my daughter that she was available, then our daughter told US. My husband rushed to Jersey Doodles to rescue her--we immediately changed her name to Sophie.
We also have a 2 year old Golden Retriever named Teddy. Both dogs have a wonderful time together.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: We love golden retrievers, and we rescued Sophie because we wanted a female to play with our male golden.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Go for walks, go to an off-leash park to run, give her lots of petting.

Please take the time to join the group I created on this site called "Jersey Doodles". I created the group so that other doodlers could locate and connect with doodles in their area to arrange for romps, etc. Back in early November we had about 12 doodles meet up down at Sandy Hook for the day to romp on the beach, so take the time to join Jersey Doodles so you don't miss out on the fun.
