Yes be in touch soon... I really want to meet up! We're new to Charlottesville, so it would be nice to meet some new people.
Roux runs around really fast as well...it's hilarious to watch. He also likes to bite us a lot and that is really frustrating. Did you have this problem?
Hi Julia! I think I left a comment for you on the Old Mill Doodles site as well. My husband and I took Roux to the Downtown Mall and we met one of your friends. Her family was petting Roux and asked if we got him from Old Mill Doodles and that her friend had one named Wheels :)
Roux is just about 11 weeks old. He is from the recent Maggie/Simon litter that was born April 4th. We would love to have a play date sometime! We want to burn off as much energy as we can :)
I just saw your comment, sorry! Sprocket is just under 30 lbs now (at 6 months) and is still growing. She's not a big dog, just very lanky right now. Hmm, as far as puppy training tips, we have really liked the poochie bells for the dog to let us know when she has to go out, and training/socializing early has been fantastic although we still have a lonnnnng way to go :-) Oh, and if your puppy needs to take medicine, go pick up some greenies pill pockets - it will make your life so much easier! Good luck!
I can't wait to see pictures of your puppy when you get him or her! If I lived closer I could be temped to get another. :) I think you'll be very happy with the little one.
Welcome to Doodlekisses Julia. Always great to welcome another local (well fairly local) member. Have fun meeting everyone and exploring a great site. Lots of great information. Make sure you check out all the various groups. Good luck in your search for your doodle.
I've posted new pictures on my page. There you can sort of compare the size of our F2 Crossback SpringerDoodles with people and objects. There are pictuers of two of Baloo's siblings - one male and one a smaller female named Daisy. They are from a younger litter but same parents. There are also pictures of Baloo's father, a white Standard Poodle.
One thing I can tell you, the personality of SpringerDoodles don't have as much variation as the GoldenDoodle. Some GoldenDoodles can be VERY VERY hyper. SpringerDoodles obviously have much life as young dogs, but I think once they are a few years old, they seem consistently calmer. Our particular dog is not a licker -- which I actually like. None of them are barkers, although ours has "learned" (been encouraged by silly husband and kids) to bark a few times if somebody is at the door. Still, that is the end of it. It is like an alert and then he stops. You are the first person I've talked to with the option to have a SpringerDoodle. I'd like one again.
Hi Julia - I've seen the parents and grown dogs from their three litters. The mother (a springerdoodle) and four females I've seen from her three litters are significantly smaller than our dog, a male. He is not as tall as his father, the standard poodle. He is stockier though. I'll try to measure him and report back.

Hi Julia,
Thanks for the friend add! I'm happy to talk about Old Mill Doodles with you. They were fantastic and we love our sproodle.
