About Me:: I am a teacher from Florida now teaching in South Carolina. I have 4 dogs and one is a beautiful, sweet Shepadoodle named Jordan (Jordy to her friends).

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Jordan is my 5 year old Shepadoodle. She is sweet, smart, and glued to my side most of the time.
Jordan has 3 doggy siblings:
Murphy, a 14 year old Corgy mix who is struggling with some liver issues right now.
Molly is a 7 year old pug/chi mix who is 12 pounds of sassy!
Bella is my youngest and a rescue. It is up for debate what she's a mix of but is a beautiful medium/large sleek bodied black dog with ears that stand straight up. She is my snuggler.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: My yellow lab had just passed away and I wanted the lab traits without the horrible shedding so went to get a labradoodle until she put that 9 wk old Shepadoodle in my arms and it was love at first sight!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Hike in the mountains close by the NC line, and walk downtown Greenville and soak up all the love and compliments my dogs get from everybody.

The love she gives is amazing and honestly at times she is so human it is hard to believe she isn't! I have not read or heard anything about Melanoma in a Doodle, but with research on this site I would bet you can find a discussion on medical situations. I am relatively new (joined in Aug of 2012) so I too am still learning all about Doodlehood! I am so sad your Jordan had to go through all that, but happy to learn it is over with and under control now.
