live in a small town in Virginia - love my life in the mountains. Pastor's wife, mother of 3 kids & 2 doodles, Nana of 2 grandsons & 5 dogs.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
My husband and I have 2 Double Doodles - they are brother & sister born on 5/21/15. Their Mom, Lily, is a cream F1B Labradoodle and their Dad, Bro, is a black F2 Goldendoodle from Knoxville, Tn. Our boy, Murphy, is apricot looks like a true teddy bear doodle. Our girl, Piper, is solid black and looks like a standard Poodle. Their brother, Knox (whom my daughter has), looks like a golden retriever! They are all precious and the best natured and loving dogs we've ever had. Their breeder is the owner of both mom & dad and they are their sole pets, so they came from a loving home, not a puppy mill.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
I did a lot of research before making a decision - I love the appearance of doodles and read nothing but good about their personalities and intelligence. After a lifetime of small pets (Shih-Tzu's mostly), I wanted to go in a different direction. A friend of mine had a Goldendoodle and everytime I saw his pictures on facebook, I smiled.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
I love to walk them & cuddle them. They do not love traveling in vehicles for some reason, but, occasionally I take them with me to visit my mom in a nursing home. The people there instantly fell in love with them. They bring smiles to their faces. I am also a runner, and when they get a little older (they are 6 months old now), I hope they will enjoy running with me. My vet advised waiting until they are a year old before running them much.
