Kristina, not to discourage you from a doodle because I think they are the best dogs in the world, but if your daughter has allergies there is some information you need to know. First of all here is a link to the most allergy friendly dog breeds:
Some people are allergic to the dog's saliva. If so, NOT being allergic will be truly on a dog by dog basis (not a dog breed, but specific dog). If she is allergic to the dander, then a non-shedding dog is your best bet. Doodles, because of their mixed breed status go through a coat change from puppy coat to adult coat. Sometimes due to the coat change, a person is not allergic to the puppy, but is to the adult, and sometimes it is the other way around. The DRC (a doodle rescue) gets dogs needing re-homing from families that this has happened to. It is devastating for the family and the dog.
If allergies are more minor, a reputable breeder can work with you to get a non-shedding dog. She can send you a cloth that she has rubbed on the puppy and your daughter can sleep with it and you can see if there are any reactions. Just remember that the coat change can make a difference.
