- I am 23 and just moved to this area with my boyfriend. We are about to get our first dog together and are very excited. We choose a standard goldendoodle because... well they seem ideal. Some are hypoallergenic, they are medium to large sized and obviously fun-loving and smart.

Where in CT are you moving to? Our daughter is living in Westbrook now but they are moving back to Va Beach next month.
Hi Leita -- I saw your post where you are getting your new puppy at the end of the month and are looking for play dates for June and July. Please do some research on Parvo so that you will know how to keep your puppy safe. Normally we don't mix our puppies with other puppies or dogs (unless from family members or people we know) until after all their shots which is normally around 4 months. July would not want your puppy to get sick. Parvo can be deadly. You definitely don't want to go to dog parks or any places frequented by other dogs until your puppy is safe. Look forward to pictures of your new family member.
Hi Leita! Congratulations on your new "baby"! We have 2 Goldendoodles and absolutely love them. We would love a play date but unfortunately, we are living in SC right now. Check out the Greater Richmond Area Doodles group here on Doodle Kisses. there's a bunch of great folks that live in the Richmond area that may be able to get together with you for a play date.
