About Me:: Hi, my name is Lisa. We live in Colorado and would enjoy joining the Doodle discussions!

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: We have a 7 month old Goldendoodle named Oliver, a 10 yr. old Siberian Husky named Tia, 3 horses and 3 Nigerian Dwarf goats.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: I have owned a poodle in the past and pet sit for years for the neighbors Goldens. I thought the combination must be fun and of course, Doodles are so cute!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: He is the best walking buddy I could have and we love to go get ice cream at GoodTimes!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: I do some and he will be going for his first "real" haircut this week.

Favorite Doodle Products?: I don't know if this is really a Doodle product but boy do I love it. Chris Christensen 16mm brush. It is the best pin brush I have found and it works great on his coat.

We ended up getting Forest in June and the training begun! Ha! I would like to get together with you and your doodles this spring or summer, though.. Are there any more doodle romps? I would be interested in doing that once I get another doodle which will be soon! However, I'll have to wait until the little girl or guy gets big enough to go. Having said that, I would like to meet up with you anyway so keep me posted on when you're going to Boulder. Happy Easter!

At 8:12am on March 9, 2013, Joy and Forest said…: Hi Lisa! I'm sorry to hear about your loss of Tia...strange thing is that we have a Giant Malamute mix, Kiah who will be 13 this summer! However, Kona, the Labradoodle left us first at age 8! I guess you just never know... :-(
If you want another Golden Doodle, whether multigenerational or F1, I would highly recommend Debbie Dixon with ZippityDoodles.com in Golden, CO. She is a sweetheart and raises some nice pups! However, if you want an Australian Labradoodle, like I will be getting, there are 5 breeders here in Colorado. You can go to the Australian Labradoodle official site. The one in Parker looks good? Or who I am going with is: Melanie Dewrey out of Granby, CO (Winter Park area) GorgeousDoodles.com. Let's get together soon as I want to meet your Oliver...he is a doll!
