We are just beginning the search for the next member of your family. After losing our 10 year old beloved golden retriever a few months ago, we feel are hearts are starting to mend to the point that by summer we will be ready for a new addition. A little bit about us - We have had two dog loves of our lives - a yellow lab who passed away at around 13 years old and most recently our 10 year old golden retriever. Both of our dogs were raised from the puppies to be an integral part of our family. We only adopted after much breeder research. My husband and I are in our late 50's, with two married children and hopefully some grandchildren in the next couple of years. We are from Sault Ste Marie. For the past 10 years, our careers have taken us to Toronto but we continue to spend every available week-end at our summer home up in the Soo, surrounded by family and friends. Our dogs have all had wonderful lives,and are a huge part of a loving adoring extended family who all spend our time together at our cottage. This new addition will be loved by all while enjoying a summertime of swimming and outdoor activities and a wintertime of fun and snow. During our time in Toronto, my husband works from home so our new puppy love will never be in want for attention or caring. We are not looking for a dog we are looking for the next member of our family. Ideally, we want a female, typical golden retriever colour and weighing between 30-55 lbs. If you think you can help us in our search for a puppy of the highest quality from a beyond reproach breeder, we look forward to hearing from you.

The breeder you can rely on. I hope we found one but as you say it's pretty scary out there. we are now on a list for goldendoodle puppy from SwissRidge Kennels.
They are expensive. But Will do anything to avoid the heartbreak of losing a dog before it's time. Our last dog was a bearded collie who had Addison's disease. It was a horrible experience.
Swiss Ridge seems the best bet out there. The're certainly extremely rigourous with bloodlines. Still, I can't help being nervous. If you would like I'd be happy to keep in touch and let you know how things turn out.
We also lost a beautiful golden retriever prior to the beardy. So we know how you feel. We picked up our pup April 22.
