I think that's a good idea, Lyndsay. The members here are very kind people who really try hard to help others work through problems they may be having with their dogs. And all dogs need training, none more than large active sporting dogs like doodles. :)
Our Health Group and Food Group (which I run) are also great resources for any digestive issues that he may be having. It's not unusual for dogs who have had surgery for foreign objects in the digestive tract to have ongoing digestive issues, and we can definitely help you with that, as well.
I'm afraid my asking for advice might be too late. I don't know what he could have gotten into, but he is unusually subdued today. I can tell he's not feeling well. He's already had 2 surgeries, the last one was just 3 weeks ago. I've been beside myself all morning because I'm not sure if he can have a third and to be honest we can't afford another $2k surgery.
Hi Lyndsay, glad to see you've joined DK, as we call it. There is a wealth of information here. You can post a discussion in the main forum, and there is also an excellent training group where very experienced members may be able to give you some tips that will help with the sock issue.

Oh, I hope he hasn't swallowed anything again. Please keep me posted.
And here's the results of a search I did on "socks" (you use the search box in the upper right hand corner): http://www.doodlekisses.com/page/search-results?q=socks&cx=009170712849504475131%3Apu1tn0-0_5m&ie=UTF-8&cof=FORID%3A11%3BNB%3A1&sa=Search
You can see many people have had this issue.
