Dog lover, and occasional breeder. Have bred pure bred dogs my whole adult life; several different breeds. I am a Broker/Owner of a local real estate company.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!

We currently have a daughter from the last litter of pups our Standard Poodle had before she passed away. We also have a 10 yr old Dachshund. We have bred Katie (AKC registered Standard Poodle) to a Champion bloodline AKC Labrador. Her puppies are due in a week. We tried several time to breed our first Standard Poodle to a Labrador and it didn't work out. This time everything looks like we are on target? Can't wait to see the puppies. Katie's Mom was a Red, and she was bred to a Silver Party Male. Katie is solid black and the Lab is black. But past bloodlines run deep so I'm curious about how these sweet babies will turn out. I'll keep you posted!!

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

I originally chose our Standard Poodle (Red) for two reasons...to use to breed doodles; and because my husband has never had a dog of his own and the temperament of the this breed would fit him really well. It did! We had her 10 yrs before she died a few months ago.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

My initial thought when I first heard of doodles over 10 years ago was the combination of the personality of two breeds and how for service animals, or hunting dogs, for people with allergies.
