About Me:

I am a retired pre-school teacher, married 45 years to my college boyfriend. We have three grown daughters and 8 grandchildren. I was never allowed to have pets as a child so I have had 11 dogs and 8 cats, often having 5-7 at a time, since I was married. My daughters, having grown up with pets, have dogs and cats of their own.

I have an F1b, medium sized, cream colored Doodle named Charlie. He is almost 1 1/2. We also have a Bichon Mix who was rescued from a puppy mill named Reese (@10), and three Shih Tzus, Simon (14), Benny (9), and Poppy (8).

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

We had a Polish Lowland Sheepdog who died at 16. We knew we could never get another Ned so we looked at other medium sized, low shedding dogs. Charlie looks a lot like Ned and we liked what we read about Goldendoodles.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

We like to walk with our Doodle. He does not want to retrieve so we throw balls for him and runs after them and chews on them. Our favorite thing is watching him interact with our grandchildren. He really needs a small boy!
