About Me:: We live in the suburbs of NY. I have two children 3.5 years and 5 years. Work part-time and mostly from home. My husband and I have always wanted a dog growing up but not our parents...Our little guy arrives in 2.5 weeks and we are learning as much as we can about puppy training (watching dog whisperer and reading books)

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: F1 Standard Labradoodle from Doodlesville called Picasso who is only 8 weeks old! (Born Jan 2009)

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: Great with kids and good temperament. low shed. They also look just so cute!

At 4:00am on June 13, 2009, edie and charlie said…: ...my guys have been chewing them since they came home at 8 weeks.my vet says they are ok...just supervise. he prefers them to rawhide. the pointy part never seems to be a problem, they just chew around it ;o0

At 5:19am on June 9, 2009, edie and charlie said…: go to the jeffers pet supply website...look under "chews" . i think that they are cow hooves (yuck) nancy told me about them when i got edie. they are very hard so i am guessing that the pup gets the advantage of chewing without consuming a lot of substance. i think you can order a small amount at first to see how he does. i order the 10lb box ~i do have 4 dogs and they all love them :O)

you see his land shark look :O) do you have hoofs for him to chew on? edie and charlie LOVE those and rarely chew on anything else. they are available online from jeffers . he really is precious!!!

You did get one that looked similar to Sadie when she was a pup. I finally posted some updated pictures of her so you can see what to expect as he grows. LOL

hoping your "pack" is thriving.!! my 2 are bigger and sweeter every day. you would never know that charlie had major surgery...he and edie are back to all of their old tricks:O)

At 4:10am on April 1, 2009, edie and charlie said…: he and miss edie were playing...the surgeon thinks that he was jumping and just hit the ground in a way that caused the break...he said that he usually sees this kind of torque injury in dogs who jump way high up to catch a frisbee. he said that charlies bones are in great shape and he should heal in about 3 weeks. but...no roughhousing with edie for 6 weeks. the two of them are handling the resrictions well (so far!) thanks for your concern

you must be soooo thrilled! my edie was the star of her puppy preschool obedience classes...i bet that picasso will be too. nancy creates really smart dogs:O)
big drama last week...little charlie broke his leg :O( he had surgery yesterday...the ortho surgeon put a pin in plasce....6 wks before he and edie can hoot and holler again. her heart was broken while he was in hospital for 4 days. nancy was a great support to me during the ordeal.and yes...i have seen
her new batch of aussies so cute!!!!
