Hey there young lady how is everything going? Slowed down a bit, but not for long:-) Bev, Harlee,Miss Chloe & Li'l Buddy!

Molly yesterday afternnoon my30lb Blk and White Terrier/Old English Sheepdog mix 13 yrs old who I brought home from the Humane Society 11 yrs ago fell hard on his back attempting to jump up on the bed.It had been becoming increasingly more difficult for him to make the jump. He had had bilateral ligament sugery on his knees 3 and 4 years ago and his hips were aging. Sometimes he would stand with his front paws on the bed and wait for me to lift his bum up and sometimes walk out into the hall and take a run at it. I'd tell him NO Buster you can't do that anymore, but I guess when he feeling O.K. he'd try it. More than once he not make it up and fall. This time his back broke. I put him up on the bed and because he didn't hurt he nor I didn't know what had happened til about an hour later when he jumped down and couln't stand.He was like Bambi on ice on the hardwood floor. I knew right away as soon as I heard his feet slding from a distance. Rushed to the Vet just after 5 on way there he wnt into exreme pain and shock. Euthanized mins after we arrived .He was pretty much already gone. He was literally my best freind in the world. The best freind that I had ever had. I took him everywhere I went! I knew he wasn't going to live forever; he had been experiencing poor liver function for the past year . I didn't want to see him get old and sick. Pretty much puppy-like til the last minute for an old dog. No one could beleive he was that old. He was one of those dogs that has a person-like personality. There will never be another Buster. I never did know where he came from but sure was happy he came. Well; it sure looks like it's a good thing that Dandy came along when he did.He cannot take Buster's place but he can be a Dandy.

Molly, glad to see that there is another nurse that loves doodles. I will have to check out your web site. Where are you from Molly? Your doodle is really cute. What is he/she's name? I would love to be able to breed doodles, but don't know the first thing about it, sooo I guess I had better stick to nursing. LOL LOL LOL

Welcome Molly. Having had numerous Golden Retrievers through the years, I know the joy of having a dog with the Golden's loving nature and a coat that does not shed. It is nice to have you here and I hope you explore the various Groups and Discussions. Again, welcome.
