About Me:
I have two small children and I am fortunate to be able to put my career on hold to stay home with them.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Jack is a miniature labradoodle/miniature poodle mix. He was born at the end of May nearby in Apex, NC.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
I love the way they look and that they are easily trained and good with children. The fact that they are non-shedding is a big bonus!
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Cuddle. My Jack is a big snug-bug.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Favorite Doodle Products?
The Zogoflex bone toys found at http://www.hotdogcollars.com. Jack LOVES his and I love that it's indestructible!

oh your little guy is so cute. I love how he's pooped out too by the train set, as if he played with it too with the kids!

Ned was not good for the groomer at first but I actually think he is pretty good for her now. I know it took a while for my Springer to behave - I think it is a matter of a high energy dog needing to be quiet for longer than they are able - for a while. Then I think they mature and also they become used to it. We had NO idea that Ned would be a high maintenance dog. We were told to brush him a couple of times a week with a pin brush. I brush my Springer a couple of times a week with a slicker - all of 5 minutes worth!!! Not all doodles have fur that mats. Perhaps you will be one of the lucky ones. Ned, knock on wood, is not doing badly now, but still needs brushing a couple of times a week and we aren't going to let him get a really long coat. I do like the scruffy look but I kind of like a mid length too. I will be happy to answer any grooming questions you have. I have brushes and products that I think help, but wait and see if Jack even has any grooming problems. His wavy fur is really pretty.
Contact Anne Bankert - a member here and ask her about Jack's color. She is a breeder and I know she has parti colored doodles - she has minis too.

Thanks for the compliment on Ned. We have gotten him groomed regularly since we got him with increasing frequency once he began matting. We first got him groomed at about 4 months at about 2 month intervals. In Feb. we started about 6 week intervals and in May or June at 1 month intervals. He seems to have his full adult coat now and although he tangles, he isn't matting. We brush and comb him quite a bit and until this past month we needed to do it every other day or he would mat. Ned is pretty curly and very soft. The parts that mat feel very cottony. He doesn't shed. Is Jack considered a parti color? I love it with so much of his color being darker than lighter - very dramatic. Ned was predicted to be a mini - an ALD from mini parents, but he is one inch taller than mini (he is 17") and has an athletic poodlish body.

He's adorable. I didn't know there was a breeder in Apex, we went all the way to SC for Zoe. Have you brought him home yet ?
