Guess those were no-no questions. The Maple Woods website sez a family tree will be included with your puppy and I didn't get one. That's a standard thing to do when breeding dogs (or cats).
Supposedly the mini poodles have trouble with their teeth, and Dinah has it too. She is becoming quite the cuddler, and slams herself right up against me. I look forward to a bit of a break from frisbee as she gets older. We were playing 4x a day. High energy. I leave go of the leash if she has pent up energy and she runs up and down the front yard, or does large circuits in the rear yard. That helps cut the frisbee time and releases her energy. She looks beautiful when she runs. I love watching her. She does it with such joy.Does the Origen help with the dental plaque? I'm still using Taste of the Wild as she had at the breeders. This will be the first Christmas I get to celibrate with her, as her coming home day was after the holidays. I'm excited.Merry Christmas to all, and Happy Hannuka too,Colleene and Dinah
Dinah is now 7 months old and I am curious about her lineage. Because Maizy has the same parents, they are sisters! Do you have a copy of the matings going back 5 generations?
Dinah has the best puppy manners. She is the most polite dog I have ever met. She teaches me every day about proper socializing! Yesterday for the first time she discovered a carcass to roll in. Yuk! I hear it's a favorite, but I had no idea. Glad this one was completely dried out! She is also developing a vocabulary---food oriented of course. When we got up this morning I gave her a choice of Walkies or Breakfast...she chose Breakfast grin>>. Tomorrow we are going to an agilitiy facility for a birthday party. I read where she shouldnd't do any agility until 1 year old, but we do play a kind of fetch rolling a frizbee. She is passionate and pesky about it, but knows "bring it" and "go Back" and we're 50/50 on "leave it". She is a bossy boo, so we need to start a training class...but today for the first time since being really small, she walked beside me on the leash. I was very proud. On the next walk it was all about squirrels and birds, so no proper walking I'm afraid.
Hi Paul, I read your posts on the Maplewoods Facebook pages. I have adopted Twigs, but haven't decided on her actual name yet. Jan 29 was the day she flew in from Chicago. I'm trying hard to be a good canine parent according to everything I've read so far, but the sweet little bundle is hard to deny. Thanks to Debbie's advice of her being in need of exercise after being cooped up since 4 am, I kept her exercised until she had enough and she slept like a baby. She is only 3.5 pounds, and thought to be 16-18lbs in maturity. Her natural behavior is wonderful. She stays right with me when we walk or run, and already responds to various noises and encouragements to "come".2QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQW sHE Also likes my laptop. grin>> Colleene
Welcome to DoodleKisses - the best website around for doodle lovers everywhere. I saw the photo of your dog and had to check him out. What kind of a doodle is he? I am thinking ALD because you joined Petty's group. Love his coloring.
