G'day Peggy
I have worked with Sunshine 4 times 12th, 13th, 16th & 21st of January. 1st day she was very timid, & would not take treats from my hand. I did 15 mins of Ttouch body work on her, then worked heel & sit only. 2nd session she was more willing & would now take treats, as Barb had been giving her bits of cheese at home. We worked on heel, sit, down & short stay. 3rd session, big difference, great on the lead, good sits & downs, & good short stay. 4th time another great session, improvement with everything. I will tell you that all these dogs I am working with are very soft on the lead, so I use no choke collar. I have had Tangie 3 times 14th, 17th, & 24th of Jan. 15 mins of Ttouch, willing dog & trying hard, worked on heel & sit. 2nd session, only 5 mins of Ttouch, worked on heel, sit & down, (down needed work) 3rd session, she was happy & animated, tail up. We worked on heel, sit, down & short stay & distracted stay. That means I am tossing the lead over & around her from 5-6 feet away, & doing goofy things like jumping jacks, & throwing my mitt on the ground. You may also be interested in knowing that each session involves a3-4 min car ride to the training area & same on the return, so they get exposure that way. Let me know if there is anything else you would like to know.
