About Me:

I am retired and loving it! Our only child moved 8 hours away which prompted me to fill the empty nest with our goldendoodle,Tiki. I have to admit he is a bit spoiled. Our daughter jokes that she used to be an only child until Tiki came along.

Tiki is a goldendoodle. We have another dog, Sophie who is a golden retriever/queensland mix. She is all business. The polar opposite of Tiki the clown dog. The are great together after a little work with Sophie to back off with the bossiness. Tiki is the joy of my life. He keeps me smiling.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

We met a goldendoodle on a trip to Sedona, AZ and fell in love. I was thinking of getting a puppy when our daughter left home. I researched many breeds including what was availabe at our local shelter. I just couldn't get the doodle from Sedona out of my mind so I set about looking for one of my own.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

I love to play in the pool with Tiki. He is getting used to joining us in the pool and seems to like it. I just love being with him. He follows me everywhere I go in the house and when I leave to run errands I have to drive by the front dining room window to wave goodbye as he sits there watching for me. I have to admit we would do more out and about if I would work with him to walk on the leash better.
