Thanks Stephanie, I was hoping you'd say that!! Is Barkley an F1 or ???? Our new addition is an F1B, and I think I'm doing too much research because what I'm reading is saying the F1B's aren't as intelligent, cooperative or healthy as the F1 or F2's. Do you have any knowledge of that, or know someone that does...firsthand, not by a geneticist? They are more hypoallergenic though, which isn't a big deal to us. BTW...Barkley is a REALLY beautiful dog :)
Hi Stephanie, I could use your opinion please. We just put a deposit on an 8 week old Goldendoodle and are 1st time Doodlers. Our puppy looks a lot like Barkley. The pic above is him in the center (I think) with his brothers taken yesterday. I'm wondering if as an older dog now if his hair is real curly and brittle, like a terrier, or is it soft and shaggy....but curly? We met the mom and dad and both are very curly, but mom's hair was just cut very short, (see top photo)so it was hard to tell. We're really looking for a soft shaggy dog, not a big terrier, so I could use some advice. Thanks in advance, Dan
"Single Chicks of Doodle Kisses"- Where Men are Dogs and Dogs are Men. I thought it was a cute, fun, comical catch phrase and a way to connect with other single female Doodle owners.....
A place to laugh, vent, share and discuss why sometimes hanging with your Doodle is more fun than hanging with those of the opposite sex.
We have a small place too, but Kona is a mini at 35 lbs. We take lot's of walks, and go to the dogparks every weekend. They get so tuckered out they just find a cool spot and sleep. I agree with you regarding the colors, their personality is really what counts. They are so smart it is scary!
I just uploaded an older pic of Buddy with longer hair. Once he get's this long it's a mess. He looks a little like Barkley, his color is getting lighter with age though.
You will have so much fun with a second pup! This is my first time with two dogs and we all have such a good time, even the hubby who was a little leary of getting a second dog is totally won over by Kona :) I never have to worry when we go to the dog park or the beach if there will be other dogs to play with because they play with each other all the time. I am so glad it worked out this way, it was what I was hoping for.
Hi Stephanie and Barkely! welcome to Doodle Kisses...love the pic of Barkley swimming...tooo cute! Check out the East Coast group on this site, you might meet some locals!
