What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
We have a chocolate doodle named Gerry who is 5 months old. He is so amazing. We have a 17 year old Himalayin cat named Tya..not crazy about the new puppy yet.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
Because I had a Siberian Husky for 15 years who lost her entire coat twice a year and hated to be brushed and bathed and was VERY independant. So when I learned about these guys, I new this would be my next dog.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
So far cuddle and play with toys. Play outside with the kids.
Hi Tanya
Cooper has grown a lot too though not double in size! She is sleeping a lot, though she does wake up quite early in the morning. If we tire her out then put her in her crate she will sleep nicely straight away and generally only crys when she wakes. She wont sleep in her bed though, she prefers the computer room/hall/lounge/kitchen doorway, blocking the entrance for the cats. She is still having accidents inside so we have started to use bells to train her. The past few days have been much harder - she is playing rough, wont settle and is nipping a lot. We have decided its her teeth and have bought some teething toys. PetSmart has a toy which can be frozen and it gives relief, like an ice cube, but less messy. I babysit my friends 2 1/2 year old daughter once a week, and they love playing together, though Cooper does tend to jump up in play which scares her. Im sure with time they will calm down a bit.
I was just about to message you!!! I had a different photo up but then saw yours and knew our babies were litter mates so thought I should change the photo. How are the first few days going for you? We finally chose a name for our puppy and she is settling in well. Sleeping through the night but having lots of accidents in the house. Oops.
Oh yes, you have picked a real charmer!!! You will be absolutely stunned when you see how much he will have changed by next week even! When I go once a week for photos I can hardly get over how big they get. Opal is eating better today (so now I cross my fingers that this is for good) and her spirits are better. She had a visit from Mama Barb so that always makes the girls feel special. Her litter should be varying degrees of apricot.... I hope she has at least one dark apricot like Red. She is a real princess when it comes to some things so Barb and I are already talking about what kind of drama queen she will be this time. She barely pushed long enough to get the puppies out each time and she screamed with each one... oh brother. I keep threatning to buy her a zebra throw to give birth on. LOL. Barb gave her frozen yoghurt for a pick me up snack half way through her whelping last time. See? Princess princess princess. I like making up names if there is something that comes to me. Barb is kind enough to keep some of them - even if they are dumb like Linda.
Hi Tanya - so nice to hear from you!! Oh my, these will be the longest 10 weeks of your life!!! I've visited Amber's pups twice now and they are so sweet. I would be hard pressed to pick just ONE. I'm excited for you!! Barb, grows very special puppies and I really would buy another one every year if I could. I look forward to hearing which puppy you take!
