What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!

My little cockapoo, Hershey, is a senior now but still has spunk and attitude. Poppy is my new pooch, a labradoodle, who is learning the ropes from Hershey. So far, she hikes, swims, fetches, does basic commands, loves to climb up on objects, and keeps Hershey young. We also have a calico kitty who is remarkably tolerant of both dogs and two guinea pigs. It's a lively household and we all get along well.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

What's not to love about poodles and labs??? I've had several breeds and mutts over the years...they've all been terrific. Since I'm getting older I thought a smaller dog (Poppy is about 30 pounds) who has a predictable temperament and smarts would be the best idea. So far, so good!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

Hiking, agility, obedience, maybe some therapy work in the future, fetching anything that I can throw, swimming, road trips, etc.

Does your doodle(s) shed?

A little bit but nothing major

Who grooms your doodle(s)?

A local groomer but I hope to learn some grooming techniques so I can keep the doodles looking good in between grooming appointments. My grooming skills right now are pretty bad.
