About Me:: I am a young professional, recently engaged and living in Richmond, VA. Currently, I am the Director of Development for a non-profit called, FETCH a Cure. The mission of FETCH is to educate canine owners on how to improve the quality of life for their dogs when it comes to issues of canine health, most specifically cancer and senior aging.

Not only am I obsessed with dogs during the day, but I am privileged enough to come home to my two very special kids, Jones and Grayce. Jones is a very handsome 7 (soon to be 8 year old) boxer and Grayce is my goldendoodle. Grayce came from Amy at Fox Creek Kennels, and just turned 1 on January 4th. She's determined to act like a "big girl" now.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Grayce is an F1B mini. She is so cute and the recipient of everyone's attention. Grayce has TONS of energy and is always ready to play, whether it's with her big brother Jones, one of her stuffed animals, a ball... She has definitely made an excellent addition to our family.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: I had Golden Retrievers growing up, and fell in love with their demeanor. Golden's truly are one of the best breeds... I was going to get a Golden, but decided that I wanted a breed that didn't shed quite as much as was a bit smaller. So, the Goldendoodle was perfect!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Everything!! Grayce loves to play. She also prides herself in being a great navigator in the car. And, taking walks are one her favorite things to do, so she's always up for a little exercise. Grayce even loves to help me do housework; folding clothes is her forte; i cannot keep the socks away from her.

'Samantha' begged and pleaded to get out of the cold in NJ and DH & I finally gave in and we left NJ for our apartment in Florida. On the way we stopped to visit friends in Richmond. Belinda from the Richmon group invited us over to meet her and she surprised us with 16 Doodles that came over to play. We have also met several DK members here in Florida. You have found a wonderful extended family to join here in DK.
