Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
To begin, start with one goldendoodle and add 20 inches of fresh, clean, new fallen snow.
Mix well for two minutes.
(Please accept my apologies for the orientation of this video. The Road Warrior left town with the camera, so I had to resort to my iphone for video. I held the phone wrong. Click on the little square at the bottom right of the video to view full screen, and hit escape to return.)…

Having an overly energetic puppy can bring a lot of extra stress around the holidays when you are introducing a lot of new and enticing objects to the dog’s already over stimulating environment. I can imagine the puppy saying, “Wow, you’re bringing me a tree! I can climb on it, chew and tug on the branches, lift my leg on it, scratch my back on the lower…

A parody of the poem “A Visit from St. Nicholas” by Clement C. Moore

The stockings which hung from the chimney with care
Were missing, the mantel now empty and bare.
The tree, how it twinkled, was down on its side.
The star, not so merry, was cracked open wide.

Bayley the Goldendoodle turned 1 year old over the weekend. A couple of our best friends were staying the weekend, so we decided to throw a party.
This is an interesting photo, as the short dog on the right looks like a long haired basset…

Bayley and Mayzie went on a beach vacation last week. The whole week was about them. We found restaurants that allowed dogs on their deck and took them everywhere we ate. There are several stores and shopping areas that allow dogs. Orvis is wonderful. They gave the dogs water, and treats; let them try out their dog beds and pick out toys to buy. Bass Pro Shop also allows dogs and the staff was very welcoming.
Mayzie, the bearded collie, is a very beautiful dog, and the breed is fairly…

When I was writing my story last week about the coyote decoys, it reminded me of another adventure. A couple months later, we spotted 2 geese on the pond. We rounded up our two dogs to try to shoo them off. Mayzie and Bayley are great at flushing the geese off the ground, but when the geese swim into the middle of the pond, the dogs are useless. Mayzie, the Bearded Collie, gets waterlogged with all her long hair, and Baylie, the goldendoodle, who should love the water, was…

There is a photo that has been on our page for months, and I thought that you might enjoy hearing how that photo came to be.
For a bit of history, we welcomed a pair of geese a couple of years ago, but they have since been evicted. They are bad tenants….. too messy. We have tried a few humane goose deterrents, and the things that…

A couple of nights ago, as we were walking the dogs, we stopped to pick up the wild life camera to check to see if we had captured any woodland critters. We did get a couple of shots of interesting “Wild Life”.…

What can be more tedious than the parent or grandparent that constantly boasts about the achievements and genius of their progeny? Perhaps someone that talks incessantly about the brilliance and accomplishments of their dog. However, I DO have the cutest and most intelligent puppy on earth, so I am completely vindicated.…

Have you ever wondered when watching America’s Funniest Videos, how it is that someone has a camera ready and running to capture all that unlikely footage? Whenever anything filmworthy happens around here, there is no camera anywhere nearby, much less on and recording when the award winning action is going on.
Two cases in point:
Last week, I headed down to the barn for the morning llama feeding and chores. My two dogs, Bayley the Goldendoodle, and Mayzie the Bearded Collie always…
