Next month I’ll be turning 59 – my that sounds OLD!  More importantly, my 59^th birthday will mark the 20^th anniversary of my thyroid surgery.  The week before my birthday, AT MY ROUTINE OB / GYN VISIT, my doctor found a thyroid lump.  Even though he assured me that most thyroid lumps are benign, he sent me to a surgeon for a biopsy.  The results came back “inconclusive”, so we decided to do the prudent thing and remove it.  Thank God we did as the post-operative…

My good friend (and business partner) is getting a double doodle!  The pups (all four boys) were born November 3rd, so they'll be ready for their forever homes early January.  This is the same breeder from whom we got Sedona, so I'm sure all will be well!  One of these cutie pies will be calling me "Auntie Deanna"!!!… Continue

We live in the country and have a couple of patches of grass, but since they're not fenced in, we feel uncomfortable letting Sedona run off-leash.  Now that we have a granddaughter (with the possibility a one or two more grandchildren in the future), I began to lobby for a fenced-in play area where Sedona could run free and we could eventually put in a play structure.  Well - it's done.  We opted for artificial grass (no watering, no mowing, smoother surface for running, etc.).  One end has…
