10 Ways to Make Your DoodleKisses Page Stand Out - Step-By-Step
I follow Tonya's small business blog at www.fakeituntilyoumakeit.com, and she has some really easy and fun ideas for sprucing up pages on sites like DoodleKisses and ISeeColor. Here's her top 10 ways to make your page stand out (I love that she included step-by-step instructions!):
1. Bling your theme
• Click on "Change Theme" you will see over 50 choices where you can change colors, font and background images
2. Make your colors burst
• Customize your colors to match your company logo or the colors in your images and pictures
3. Create an eye-catching header image
• Your header image will make an explosive impact on your page. To cover the entire area create a header image 955 pixels wide
4. Spice up your photo
• Edit photos the easy and FREE way with Picnik then Click on "Change My Photo" to upload the improved version
5. Remove DOODLEKISSES
Don't want DOODLEKISSES at the top of your page?
• Click on "Change Theme"
• On the "Theme Settings" tab look for the section Header, Footer & Sides
• Find "Network Name" then click on the color picker
• Type Transparent >> click ok
6. Strategically locate your content
• Move your content blocks around on your page. You can move them up or down. You can even move certain content blocks to the left margin
7. Turbo charge you content
• Use the RSS application tool to add content from your personal or business website or blog
8. Revamp your URL
• Change your URL to match your business name, your product or your service.
• Click on "Settings" look for the section Useful Addresses then click "change"
9. Moderate comments
• Keep your page relevant with information specific to your page only allow comments you approve.
• Click on "Settings" >> then "Privacy"
• Revise these options:
- Do you want to approve comments before they appear on your blog?
* Yes – Let me approve comments first
* No – Publish comments immediately
- Do you want to approve comments before they appear on your comment wall?
* Yes – Let me approve comments first
* No – Publish comments immediately
10. Indulge yourself
• Make your page awe-inspiring with application tools. There are over 84 tools to choose from that will make your site unique. If you don't see one you like there, guess what!? You can add your own by clicking on the "+ Add URL" link.
